When practical (shorter, Pop-Up weddings sometimes pose a time challenge), we like to bring additional, off-camera lighting in order to better capture your reception traditions. While we’re used to the difference between straight flash and off-camera flash, we understand this might be difficult to visualize for clients.

Luckily, we have examples of both in our archive, as we didn’t always have our off-camera system in place. Below, see examples comparing straight (on-camera) flash to off-camera (remote) flash.

NOTE: We still use straight flash where it is more practical or necessary, i.e. cake cutting, impromptu group shots, entrances and send-offs. However, when coupled with off-camera, you add a new level of “Wow!” to your reception portraits!
