About Me

My name is Patrick Abanathy: husband, Western Kentuckian, international traveler, author, lover of gardening, baking, indie/world rock (even the new stuff) and, finally, great 80s pop! I grew up in this area and am never at a loss when it comes to the many beautiful wedding settings found in and around this wonderful place. Second only to my amazing wife, Elizabeth, photography has been my decades-long passion and wedding photography has been my life since 2013. I love to find those amazing, unseen angles and, moreover, I love finding them in new venues as well as in familiar settings.

Our Style

I would describe my style as photojournalistic with just the right amount of traditional poses, editorial moments, candid captures and artistic flare. In short: I take every opportunity to capture amazing images in both traditional and new ways. 

True Color Style: we capture your wedding day in a way that accurately and timelessly speaks to your own memories. Later, after editing is complete, we handpick a few we think would look great in black and white or with a more dramatic touch and offer those options alongside your original images. 

Enhanced Lighting: when possible, we bring additional lighting to better capture your reception and traditions while we also work with simpler lighting and natural sunlight (including the sun itself when possible) to capture beautiful and breathtaking portraits of you and your wedding parties.
